I went last Friday in a hutong following one of my French friends to discover a new food experience in a chinese local restaurant.

For the Beijingers, go to Yonghe Gong Lama Temple then go South on the main street untill Cafe de la Poste (famous French bar). You will find several identical places in the hutongs, old chinese local streets, on the cross streets.

Stop eating noodles and rice, let’s go with meat – spit-roast lamb.

The chef cooks initially the lamb and brings it to the table and put the lamb leg on a bbq. Then, we handle the lamb cutting. Yummi…

Really nice experience which cost 50 RMB per person (5€). It was a bit expensive compared to what it cost to my friend last time but we didn’t put any limit on meat, vegetables, beers and baijiu (local rice alcool). :)
